Congratulations to Owen Hombsch who will represent Johnson Creek High School at Badger Boys State this summer. His delegation to Badger Boys State is sponsored by the Johnson Creek American Legion Post #305. Owen is a well-rounded student who challenged himself this year by taking two college level classes. In addition to academics, Own is dedicated to Band. He has played percussion in Band since 5th grade and he plays the drum set for Jazz Band. In high school, Owen plays basketball and baseball and he participates in National Honors Society, Student Council and FFA. Outside of school, Owen loves to play golf and he is involved in 4H for which he shows pigs at the Jefferson County Fair. Owen wants to attend a large college where he can major in Aerospace Engineering.
Congratulations to Madeline Wenzel who will represent Johnson Creek High School at Badger Girls State this summer. Her delegation to Badger Girls State is sponsored by the Johnson Creek American Legion Auxiliary Post #305. Madeline loves music. She has been in band since 5th grade when she started playing the trumpet. She continues to play trumpet in Jazz Band while playing the tuba in the High School Band. She also plays the piano and guitar. In addition to music, Madeline plays volleyball and basketball and participates in Culture Club, National Honors Society, and the Academic Bowl. In the summer of 2019, Madeline is traveling to Peru. She is looking forward to the challenge of using her Spanish language skills in a Spanish speaking country. Madeline plans to attend college for Music Education and she hopes to play volleyball in college.
