The 4th grade students at J.C. Elementary completed a Community Service Learning Project in December. This year, the students learned about helping out right here in our own Community. They learned about the U.W. Cancer Center – Johnson Creek and the services they provide at the facility. The students then created place-mats (that they weaved), designed and colored holiday gift bags, and then made each patient there a salt-dough Christmas tree ornament. After this project was completed, the students delivered the gifts for the patients at the Clinic. When the students went to the U.W. Cancer Center – Johnson Creek, they were greeted by Dawn (an R.N. that works there) and Dr. Michael Eastman the Director of the Clinic along with Dr. Jessica Schuster.
