138 golfers came together on Thursday, September 22 at the Watertown Country Club to raise money for the new athletic fields in Johnson Creek. The One Team One Dream Golf Outing raised close to $39,000 for the new athletic fields that will be built at the new Middle/High School campus.
The day was filled with golf, fun activities, food, plenty of social time, silent and live auctions, and a bakery sale. Those in attendance included parents, community members, alumni, and area business people. Kevin Bell, former MLB and Chicago White Sox player, was also at the event.
“We are very happy with how the event turned out,” shared Merisa Nicholson, event organizer. “People had a lot of fun and we were able to raise a nice amount of money for the fields. We are so thankful to all our sponsors, donors, supporters and volunteers who made this event a success.”
