The fifth grade recently had the opportunity to travel back in time to the Civil War! The entire fifth grade and the Johnson Creek Historical Society made the trek to The Wade House in Greenbush, Wisconsin to attend the Civil War Reenactment/student learning day held every year in September. The Johnson Creek Historical Society has sponsored the trip for the fifth graders for many years. Throughout the day the students are engaged in mini classes ranging from Civil War nursing to meeting Abraham Lincoln. The entire day is spent learning about the time period and the Civil War. The fifth grade is truly grateful to have had the opportunity to attend again this year. A big thank you to the Johnson Creek Historical Society for making this educational experience available.
