On November 2nd, JC Culture Club Celebrated “Dia de los muertos” or “Day of the Dead”. Day of the Dead is mainly celebrated in Mexico but is also celebrated in many other Spanish speaking countries in the Americas. Day of the Dead celebrates the lives of people who have died. It is not a day of mourning, but a day of remembrance and celebration. Traditionally, people make “ofrendas” where they make a place of the deceased’s favorite food, drinks and other items such as toys. Others symbols we see on Day of the Dead is skeletons, skulls, bread, and flowers. JC Culture Club shared food together to celebrate this holiday.
