The Johnson Creek Neighbors to Neighbors Club presented a check for $1123.50 to Superintendent Dr. Garvey and One Team One Dream Chairperson, Paula Constable at the club’s annual Kick-Off Dinner.
In 2015, the JCNNC members unanimously voted to raise money for the new Johnson Creek athletic fields. Each year at their Kick-Off Dinner the members vote to determine which charity will be the recipient of the funds the club raises for that calendar year. Members again voted for to raise fund for the athletic field for 2016.
Club President, Brooke Stangel states, “Throughout the past year, we have done raffles, the 3rd Annual Ladies Day Out, and various other social gatherings to raise funds for the community we all love so much. Johnson Creek Neighbors to Neighbors is thrilled to be able to not only build a stronger community through our club events, but also thru this donation to the new athletic fields that directly affects the young in our small and growing village.” She adds, “The small contributions are important, too.”
“We are very thankful and pleased with the overwhelming positive response we have received from everyone. Community members, parents, students, teachers, Johnson Creek Alumni, and local business owners have all showed support,” adds Constable.
