Medical Occupations Survey class members have been expanding there knowledge of emergency situation procedures and first aid. Last week a member of Johnson Creek Fire/ EMS instructed the class in CPR and AED procedures. All members of the class passed the test and are certified in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the use of an AED, Automated External Defibrillator. The students will use these skills when SimMan, a realistic, full-body adult, wireless patient simulator, visits the class in mid November. Johnson Creek High School was one of six schools in Wisconsin to have this opportunity. A team from UW- Madison will work with the students using realistic and engaging scenario based simulations to challenge and evaluate critical thinking and decision- making skills.
